Mr. Jian-He Xu
    Graduated from the Deprtment of Chemistry, Tsinghua University (Beijing) in 1987 and got his Ph.D. degee of Chemicl Engineering from East China University of Scicence and Technology (Shanghai) in 1995, with partial research perfromed in Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University during 1992-1994. He then joined the State Key Laboraoty of Bioreactor (SKLBE) at East China University of Scicence and Technology and was promoted to a full professor in 2000. In 2009 he was awarded as Changjiang Professorship by the Ministry of Education, China. Currently he serves as an Executive Board Member of Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB) and Editor-in-Chief of a Springer journal, Bioresources and Bioprocessing. He has published more than 220 peer-reviewed papers in ISI-indexed journals including PNAS and Angew Chem, with an h-index of 25. He has got many national and international prizes and honors, including “Du Pont/Genenor Award for Outstanding Achievement in Enzyme Engineering of China”.

• Gaowei Zheng, Professor. Fouced on discovery of novel enzymes, and creation of tailor-made enzymes using directed evolution and rational protein design; synthesis of optically pure compounds by enzymes, e.g. for pharmaceutical applications.

• Chunxiu Li, Associate Professor. Fouced on screening of novel enzymes; researches on enzyme library construction.

• Jiang pan, Research assistant. Fouced on screening of microorganism and fermentation production of enzymes; biocatalytic production of chiral compounds; scale-up of biocatalytic process

• Zhijun Zhang, Associate Professor. Fouced on discovery, design and molecular engineering of novel biocatalysts and their synthetic applications.

• Qi Chen, Lecturer. Fouced on molecular mechanism investigation of esterase based on molecular dynamics simulation.
